Hi Curt, I'm sorry you aren't getting the response you hoped for. I'm so behind I don't know which way is up. They let 160 people go from my company last week, and today one of my good friends was let go. She'd been with the company for 30 years. Just wanted to say I know how frustrating it is when people don't respond, but we get wrapped up in our own problems too.
I don't know how to get something like that going on the internet. You may have to interest a site owner or something. Wanted to mention a couple of things you may want to check out. I do not know if they will be worthwhile projects, but as usual I try new things with hope.

One is Rotmie (Reaching Out To Make It Easier). This site donates a percentage of the earnings to charity. I don't know if they require that the donation be to a non-profit organization or not. I haven't had time to look into it. But you could ask if they would consider your niece's situation. I joined this site under a pay it forward plan, so would pay your way in. I've agreed to pay for 2 referrals (Cost of $16.50 each $15 plus $1.50 fee), but you have to agree to pay for your 2 referrals. The next option is a site called Fundraiser 1.0. It costs $4.99. For that I got a download, that I skimmed and am not at all sure I understand how it works yet. Could be a complete scam. Will do a little research myself to see. Since I have your email, I'll send you the .pdf I received, but not sure you will know a lot more about it once you read it - which kind of indicates something not quite right. But I just don't know yet. Anyway, let me know if you have interest in either of those things. I wouldn't have a clue how to organize a group PTC - probably need to talk to a site owner for something like that.

Thanks Carol. I will check into it. Sorry to hear about the lay-offs.
Especially your friend, that has been loyal for 30 years. It's rough for all of us, but sometimes it hits a little closer to home and really makes a person sit-up and pay attention. When this happens, I look around and it doesn't take long to see someone worse off than myself. I suppose we should all be a little more gratefull.
